Serbian Chess Grandmaster
A Serbian chess grandmaster, he achieved notable success in both domestic and international tournaments. In 1989, he shared first and second place in the Yugoslavia Championship but lost the tie-break match to Predrag Nikolić. He claimed first place in Titovo Užice in 1981 and Graz in 1987, while securing third place in Ulm in 1981 and shared third to fifth place in Belgrade in 1982 and 1987.
International Achievements
In international tournaments, he secured fourth place in Saint-Maxime and third to fifth place in Karamanico Terme, both in 1983. He shared third to seventh place in Athens in 1984 and won first place in Vinkovci in 1987. He also shared first and second place in Kolhapur and first to fourth place in Oberwart, both in 1987. Additionally, he shared third and fourth place in Bern in 1989 and second to sixth place in Zenica in 1989.
