Brett Rogers, an American professional mixed martial artist, was born and raised in Chicago. Growing up in a dangerous neighborhood, Rogers had to navigate the constant street wars and eventually moved in with his grandmother at the age of 11 for safety. Despite the challenges, his upbringing in a dangerous area taught him valuable survival skills and made him stronger.

Early Career

Before his MMA career, Rogers worked as a tire changer, taking any job to support his family. He also worked as a newspaper delivery boy. Rogers was determined to provide for his children and would do any job necessary to support them.

Entering MMA

MMA became a significant part of Rogers' life as he had always excelled in fighting. It was not only a passion but also a career path for him. His biggest regret was not defeating Fedor Emelianenko, whom he held great respect for. Rogers sees the loss as a learning experience that made him both a better fighter and a better person. He uses it as motivation to become the Bellator champion.

Rise and Challenges

Rogers faced setbacks after his loss to Emelianenko but was able to bounce back by becoming a more versatile fighter. With every fight and training camp, he gained new knowledge and worked tirelessly to improve himself. Rogers believes that his time has come and is focused on winning the Bellator Grand Prix.

Opinions on Opponents and Career

When asked about potentially facing Fedor or his brother Alexander, Rogers responds that it would depend on the circumstances. He acknowledges the hunger and fighting skills of the Russian fighters in Bellator and believes that their presence elevates the image of the fighters in the organization. As for his upcoming fight against Alexander Volkov, Rogers acknowledges his opponent's toughness but remains focused on his own preparation and performance.

Future Goals

Rogers is determined to showcase his skills and deliver a harsh lesson to Volkov when they face off. He plans to give him a taste of American fighting and prove that he has what it takes to come out on top. Responding to Volkov's criticism of his fighting style, Rogers confidently states that when he is done with Volkov, he will have a significant "hole" in his head.
