Henty Herman Pienaar began his football journey in 1999, joining the youth ranks of Friends FC. His skills and determination quickly earned him recognition, and in 2005, he embarked on his professional career with Civics FC.
Club Success with Civics FC
At Civics FC, Pienaar became an integral part of the team, helping them secure several Namibian Premier League titles in 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007. His impressive performances on the domestic front earned him a place in the Civics FC squad that competed in the CAF Champions League in 2006 and 2007, where he scored two crucial goals in four appearances.
National Team Debut and African Cup of Nations
Pienaar's talent extended beyond the club level, and in 2008, he received a call-up to the Namibian national football team. He made his international debut and went on to represent his country in the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations, leaving his mark with two spectacular goals against Morocco and Guinea.
International Career and Last Match
Pienaar's international career continued until June 22, 2008, when Namibia faced Guinea in a 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifier. Despite a valiant effort, Namibia lost the match 0-4, marking Pienaar's last appearance for the national team.
