Jack Eichel is a professional American ice hockey player currently serving as the captain of the National Hockey League (NHL) team Buffalo Sabres. He holds the distinction of being the first American-born captain in the Sabres franchise history.

Early Career

Born in North Chelmsford, Massachusetts, Eichel began his hockey career at a young age. He was drafted into the NHL in 1998 by the New Jersey Devils in the third round, 82nd overall.

NHL Success

After joining the Devils, Eichel quickly established himself as a skilled forward. He played a significant role in the team's victory in the 2003 Stanley Cup, capturing the coveted championship trophy.
