Early Life and EducationBruno Delbonnel was born in Nancy, France, in 1957. At the tender age of ten, he moved with his family to Paris, where his passion for photography ignited. He attended a private film school and later pursued a philosophy degree at the Sorbonne. In 1978, he graduated from the École Supérieure d'Études Cinématographiques (ESEC).
Career Beginnings
After graduating, Delbonnel began his career in filmmaking by creating short and animated films. He received guidance from renowned cinematographer Henri Alekan. In 1979, he embarked on a pivotal collaboration with Jean-Pierre Jeunet.
