Born on April 17, 1996, in Subiaco, Perth, Western Australia, Taylah Parker's journey to boxing excellence began at the tender age of 11. In a bid to ensure her safety, her father encouraged her to learn self-defense, leading her to embrace both taekwondo and boxing.

Youthful Triumph and Commonwealth Success

Parker's talent was evident early on. At the 2014 Youth Olympic Games, she claimed a bronze medal in the 75kg category. Her impressive performances continued at the Commonwealth Games, where she earned a silver medal in the middleweight division in 2018 and a bronze in the same weight class in 2022.

Olympic Qualification and Historic Achievement

Parker's determination and perseverance paid off in 2020 when she qualified for the 2020 Summer Olympics at the Asia & Oceania Boxing Olympic Qualification Tournament. Although her Olympic debut ended in the Round of 16, history was yet to be made.
