Early Career and Karting Success

Kan Atamtürk began his racing journey in karting in 1999. His impressive performances led him to victory in the US Barber Formula Dodge championship in 2001.

Touring Car and Formula Experiences

In 2001, Atamtürk joined the Turkish Touring Car Championship (TTCC). He also competed in the North American Fran Am 2000 Pro Championship and select races of the Turkish Formula-3. In 2002, he continued his TTCC campaign while venturing into Formula Renault.

Formula Success and GP2 Debut

In 2003, he focused solely on Formula Renault. The following year witnessed his participation in the British Formula 3 National Class and the Eurocup Formula Renault V6. On May 29, 2004, Atamtürk became the first Turkish driver in the Formula 3000 series, driving for Coloni and later Super Nova.

In 2005, he joined iSport International in the newly created GP2 Series, a replacement for Formula 3000. However, his time in GP2 proved less successful, with only two points earned at the Monaco round.

Post-GP2 Career

After his GP2 stint, Atamtürk did not participate in any major championships.
