Franz Wüllner

Franz Wüllner was a renowned German organist, composer, and conductor.

Early Life and Education

Wüllner was born in Münster, Westphalia, Germany. He studied music in Dresden under the tutelage of Ernst Julius Otto and Johann Gottlob Schneider.

Organist and Choirmaster

In 1854, Wüllner was appointed organist at the Dresden Cathedral. He later became the cathedral's choirmaster.

Operatic Compositions

Wüllner composed several operas, including "Die Folkunger" (1874) and "Heinrich der Löwe" (1877). These works gained considerable popularity in Germany.
