Early Life and Background
Carla was born on August 29, 1971, in Sarasota, Florida. She is of Italian descent, with her father, Carl Gugino, being an orthodontist. However, Carla has a mix of Italian, English, and Irish blood. Due to her father's job, Carla moved frequently during her childhood. At the age of 4, she underwent a difficult kidney surgery. Despite the constant moves, Carla excelled in school and graduated as one of the top students.
Early Career
Carla was a charismatic and striking girl, attracting attention from boys. This was not surprising as her aunt was a former model who was actively working in the entertainment industry. When Carla turned 15, she followed in her aunt's footsteps and pursued a modeling career in New York. However, she faced disappointment as she was deemed too short for the runway at only 5'5".
