Biography of Carla Maffioletti
Carla Maffioletti, a Brazilian opera singer and coloratura soprano, was born in 1980 in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. She has a mixed Brazilian and Italian heritage. Her musical education began in her homeland, starting with the violin and later switching to classical guitar. At the age of 15, Carla toured Brazil and South America with the guitar ensemble 'Camerata Consort'.

Education and Career
From 1998 to 2000, Maffioletti studied opera at the Maastricht Academy of Music in the Netherlands, where she continues to reside. In 2002, Carla joined the ensemble of renowned violinist André Rieu as a vocalist. It was here that she performed her famous roles as Olympia in 'Les Contes d'Hoffmann', Adele in 'Die Fledermaus', Gretel in 'Hänsel und Gretel', and many others.

In the 2009 season, Carla worked as a soloist at the Gießen Opera House in Germany, participating in opera productions such as 'Magic Flute', 'Il Matrimonio Segreto', 'Les Contes d'Hoffmann', 'Sigurd, Dragon Slayer', and many more. Her most famous and successful roles include Olympia, Frasquita, Queen of the Night, and Papagena, although Carla is usually well-received by both audiences and critics in all her performances.

Other Musical Endeavors
Not forgetting her guitar, Carla recently performed as part of the string ensemble 'The Strings'. In the summer of 2000, she appeared at the Münchner Singschule Festival, performing with the Bavarian State Orchestra once again in the role of Olympia.

Carla Maffioletti's beautiful and rich coloratura soprano voice is compared today to the voices of renowned opera talents such as Ingeborg Hallstein, Mado Robin, Erna Sack, and Reri Grist. Her mentor is currently Denette Whitter from the Opera and Concert Academy in Henfenfeld.
Among Carla's recordings are three albums recorded in Brazil - 'Erudito I', 'Tudo Muda', and the opera 'A Boiúna' by Walter Schultz Portoalegre. It is also known that alongside her opera and instrumental activities, Carla finds time to appear in plays and musicals, including productions like 'Sentimental Journey', 'Uma balada para o Cristo Mulher', and others.
