Carmelo Anthony was born on May 29, 1984, in Brooklyn, New York. He was raised in an international household, with his mother being of African descent and his father's heritage including Puerto Rican, Spanish, Native American, and African ancestry. Anthony's father passed away from cancer when he was just two years old.
