Biography of Carmin Giovinazzo
Carmin Dominic Giovinazzo, an American actor, was born on August 24, 1973, on Staten Island, where he grew up in a family of Nancy and Dominic Giovinazzo, a police officer. His roots trace back to Italy (Naples), Norway, and England.

Childhood and Sports
Giovinazzo spent his childhood on the streets of Staten Island. From a young age, he had a passion for sports. Although he tried various sports, his favorites were baseball and roller hockey.

Education and Acting Career
In 1991, he graduated from Port Richmond High School and enrolled in Wagner College. At that time, he aspired to become a professional baseball player, but a serious back injury disrupted his plans. With the support of his family, he turned to acting. Giovinazzo had been participating in the filming of short films since his early years, but he couldn't recall the exact moment when he developed a genuine desire to become an actor. "Before I realized it, I was already immersed in Manhattan life and started studying at the HB Studio," the actor recalls. He appeared in several short film projects at the State University of New York and also had roles in a few movies. Afterward, he moved to Los Angeles and dedicated himself seriously to his acting career.

Breakthrough and Success
In 1997, Giovinazzo settled in Los Angeles, and soon after, he landed his first major Hollywood role in the series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer pilot," where he played the first victim attacked by vampires. He then appeared in numerous episodic roles in TV series and movies, including "Billy's Hollywood Screen Kiss," "For Love of the Game," "The Big Brass Ring," and "Black Hawk Down." He also starred in the short-lived sitcom "Shasta McNasty" on UPN. He appeared in films such as "Enemy Hands" with William Macy, produced by Lions Gate Entertainment, and "Players" with Freddy Rodriguez and Peter Dobson. More recently, Giovinazzo portrayed the role of forensic scientist Danny Messer in the television series "CSI: NY." This role was particularly significant to him, as he frequently consulted with his family, as his father and sister work in the New York Police Department.
Personal Interests
In his free time, Giovinazzo enjoys playing the guitar, writing songs and poetry, and even sings in his band called "Ceesau." He also has a passion for painting, particularly in oil. One of his paintings, titled "Tri-Borough," appeared on screen in an episode of "CSI: NY."
