Early Life and Background

Born approximately in 1940 in the Tokombere commune in the Mayo-Sava department of French Cameroon, Cavaye Yeguie Djibril is a prominent Cameroonian politician. He hails from the Mada ethnic group.

Education and Religious Affiliation

As a child, Djibril was baptized into Catholicism. However, upon Cameroon's independence, he converted to Islam. Djibril holds a teaching degree in physical education.

Political Career

Djibril is a member of the Democratic Rally of the Cameroonian People (RDPC). Since 1972, he has been elected to the National Assembly of Cameroon, serving as its President since 1992.

Personal Life

Cavaye Yeguie Djibril is married to four wives and has 15 children.
