Biography of Cecilia Bolocco
Cecilia Bolocco is a Chilean television presenter and the winner of the Miss Universe 1987 title. She was born in Santiago, Chile, to Enzo Bolocco Cintolesi, a businessman, and Rose Marie Fonck Assler. After completing high school, Cecilia spent a year studying civil construction at the University of Santiago before shifting her focus to costume design.

Miss Chile and Miss Universe
In the national competition, Miss Chile, Cecilia Bolocco won on April 20, 1987. On May 26, 1987, she surpassed 67 competitors and became the first Chilean to win the Miss Universe pageant. Throughout the following year, Bolocco diligently fulfilled her honorary duties. She resided formally in Los Angeles, California during this time.

Television Career
After relinquishing her crown, Bolocco pursued a career in television. She hosted programs such as "Porque hoy es sábado" on the National Chilean Television and "Martes 13" on Channel 13. In March 1990, Cecilia married American television producer Michael Young in Santiago, which received significant media attention. She later moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where she worked on a Spanish project for CNN's Telemundo Network. Bolocco joined the Telemundo team permanently and hosted the evening show "La Buena Vida." She received two Emmy awards for her program "Esta noche con Cecilia Bolocco." Bolocco's next major project was the Mexican soap opera "Morelia," where she portrayed the villainous Karina Lafontaine de Montero. The show was broadcasted in 70 countries worldwide.
Return to Miss Universe and Television Success
In 1993, Cecilia Bolocco returned to the Miss Universe pageant as one of the hosts. In 1995, she hosted the final night of the prestigious Viña del Mar International Song Festival. In October 1996, Bolocco became the host of the popular television show "Viva el lunes," which became one of the most successful projects in Chilean television history. Alongside her hosting duties, Cecilia also hosted a radio show and her own program, "La noche de Cecilia." In 1996, she was invited to the Miss Universe pageant for the third time, this time as a judge.
Personal Life
In August 2001, Bolocco's marriage to Michael Young was formally annulled. On May 26, 2001, she married former Argentinian president Carlos Menem. They welcomed a son on November 19, 2003, but ultimately divorced in April 2007.
