American model with vitiligo
Ten years of hiding behind makeup to camouflage a rare skin condition, American model Brianna Rice has finally "revealed" her face. Currently 31 years old, Brianna Rice first encountered the serious skin pigmentation problem known as vitiligo about 12 years ago. Due to the rare disorder, which results in partial disappearance of melanin, large pale patches appeared on Rice's face, hands, and body. Feeling self-conscious, she began using makeup to hide her face from everyone except her parents. Even her closest friends had no idea what Brianna's skin really looked like. As a model, the American appeared in photoshoots already heavily made up. She used long-lasting makeup that wouldn't wash off even during workouts at the gym. Eventually, Rice, a resident of Seattle, Washington, decided to give up the "masking" to try to inspire other women who lacked confidence due to skin issues. "Initially, I wanted to look 'normal' so I would hide my skin every time I left the house," Brianna admits. "It would take me 45 minutes each morning to apply makeup. I was afraid to show people what I really looked like. The essence of my work is to be attractive and confident, and that weighed on me, making me strive for perfection." Rice adds, "But now I have learned to be myself instead of feeling ashamed. I know I am imperfect, and I use that awareness to boost the self-esteem of other women. We all have anxieties, we all compare ourselves to others, but we must love our own skin and not feel unworthy of love."

Biography of Brianna Rice
Brianna Rice, an American model, gained prominence for her work in the fashion industry while living with vitiligo, a rare skin condition. Born in Seattle, Washington, Brianna first noticed changes in her skin in 2004, with pale patches appearing under one of her eyes. Initially dismissing it as stress due to her busy modeling career, she continued to walk runways and appear in photoshoots. However, over time, the pale spots began to spread to her cheeks, causing her concern. Alongside the skin pigmentation issue, Brianna also faced difficulties with digestion, with each meal causing excruciating pain. Seeking answers, she consulted doctors, but they could not pinpoint the cause of her symptoms. It was only after visiting a naturopath and undergoing a series of tests that Brianna was diagnosed with vitiligo, an autoimmune disorder where the immune system attacks healthy cells in the body. Her doctor explained that the consumption of allergenic foods, including gluten, dairy products, certain proteins, peanuts, almonds, and sesame seeds, had contributed to chronic inflammation in her digestive tract, potentially exacerbating her vitiligo. Determined to take control of her health, Brianna completely changed her diet, incorporating plenty of fresh vegetables and organic foods. She now follows a strict diet and manages stress through hot yoga and meditation. Brianna, who had spent years perfecting her makeup skills to conceal her condition, believes in the importance of posting "makeup-free" photos to help others feel comfortable with their imperfections. Her journey has inspired many women who struggle with self-esteem issues to embrace their uniqueness and love themselves. Brianna Rice continues to work as a model and is also a certified health coach, using her experiences to help others heal through food therapy.
