Chainey Klay was born on August 20, 1972, in Manassas, Virginia. He moved with his family to Denver, Colorado, where he grew up. After graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School, Klay attended the University of Colorado in Boulder, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.

Acting Career

Klay honed his acting skills in Chicago theater productions, including a lead role in the Chicago Dramatist's "The Angels of Lemnos," which earned him a Joseph Jefferson Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role.

Hollywood Breakthrough

Relocating to Los Angeles, Klay secured guest roles on television shows such as "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." His film debut came in 2001's "Legally Blonde" starring Reese Witherspoon. He gained recognition for his starring role as Kyle Walsh in the horror thriller "Darkness Falls" (2003), followed by John Young in the crime drama "The Skin Horse" (2004).
