Biography of Chantal Bolivar

Chantal Bolivar, a fashion model and television host, was born and raised in the suburbs of Paris. Her parents immigrated to France from the island of Guadeloupe in the Caribbean Sea, where Bolivar regularly visits and maintains a close connection with her large family. As a child, she couldn't wait to visit Guadeloupe, considering her numerous cousins as her own siblings. She fondly remembers the delicious food in the school cafeteria in Guadeloupe, which couldn't compare to what Paris had to offer. Every time she visits the island, her aunts prepare her favorite dish, 'chictai de morue' (dried cod).

During her teenage years, Chantal dreamed of a professional modeling career and participated in a prestigious television modeling competition sponsored by the Parisian 'Elite Modeling Agency'. Ultimately, Bolivar secured the second place, launching her journey into the world of fashion and style. In the early stages of her career, she posed for world-renowned photographers such as Mario Testino and appeared in various publications, including 'Marie Claire', 'French Elle', and 'Glamour' magazines. Chantal also took part in several advertising campaigns, working with brands such as 'Helena Rubinstein', 'L'Oreal', 'Lancome', and 'Chanel'.

After achieving a high level of success and becoming one of the most sought-after models in the Paris fashion scene, Chantal decided to test her abilities in the United States. Despite speaking little English, she packed her bags and chose New York City as her new home, knowing that some of the best modeling agencies in the world are located there. Moving from Paris to the Upper East Side of Manhattan, Bolivar not only quickly became fluent in English by watching various talk shows but also secured roles in several significant fashion projects and campaigns. Recently, she has worked with clients such as 'Oil of Olay', 'Nike', 'Clairol', 'Garnier', 'The Gap', 'Bergdorf Goodman', 'Saks Fifth Avenue', 'Reebok', 'Maybelline', 'Evian', and 'Essence Magazine'.

In 2005, Chantal Bolivar became a DJ and television host for MTV (Caribbean Network) and MTV Tempo. Currently, the French model is studying at the Sorbonne University.
