French Fashion Model

Charlotte di Calypso was born on December 9, 1990, in Lille, Nord-Pas-de-Calais, one of the northernmost regions of France. She gained fame by winning the annual 'Elite Model Look' competition for aspiring models in 2005. At the young age of fifteen, Charlotte participated in the French edition of the 'Elite Model Look' contest. Alongside fourteen-year-old nymph Sigrid Agren, she was also selected to compete in the international edition of the contest held in Shanghai, China. The French beauty emerged as the winner of 'Elite Model Look' and subsequently signed a contract with the prestigious modeling agency 'Elite Model Management' in Paris.

Debut as a Professional Model

Charlotte made her debut as a professional model in 2005, walking in the 'Spring-2006' collection show for the Italian fashion label 'Prada'. She then began working on her first advertising campaign for the clothing retailer 'Topshop'. As she climbed the career ladder, Calypso represented renowned fashion designers and houses such as 'Chanel', 'Valentino', 'Yohji Yamamoto', 'Dolce & Gabbana', 'Jil Sander', 'Diane von Furstenberg', and 'Emanuel Ungaro'. In the 'Spring-2009' haute couture season, she collaborated with 'Christian Dior' and walked the runway for 'Christian Lacroix', 'Chanel', 'Valentino', and 'Giorgio Armani'.

New Face of Ralph Lauren

Recently, Charlotte became the new face of clothing brand 'Ralph Lauren', alongside Japanese model Tao Okamoto. She replaced Valentina Zelyaeva, who had been representing the American company for a long time. Alongside fellow models Sigrid Agren, Constance Jablonski, Mathilde Frachon, and others, Charlotte di Calypso declared in 'Vogue Paris' magazine that France would become the "mother" of the next wave of supermodels, similar to what had happened in Russia and Brazil.
