Biography of Charlotte Ross
Charlotte Ross, an American actress and singer, was born on January 21, 1968, in Winnetka, Illinois. She discovered her acting talent at a young age, participating in a theatrical production in her hometown at the age of thirteen. Ross decided to further develop her abilities in high school at New Trier, where she also joined theater groups in Chicago.
After moving to Los Angeles, Ross began performing in productions at the Pasadena Playhouse and Tiffany Theater. In addition to her stage work, she also appeared on television. She starred in the critically acclaimed but short-lived series "Beggars and Choosers" for two seasons. Ross also appeared in the family drama "Trinity," created by John Wells, and the mini-series "A Will of Their Own."
Ross took on leading roles in TV series such as "The Five Mrs. Buchanans" and "The Heights," earning a "gold" record for her performance of the main song in the latter. She also appeared in made-for-television movies such as "A Kiss So Deadly," "Fall into Darkness," "She Says She's Innocent," and "Dark Waters." Ross received two Emmy Awards in the category of "Daytime Drama Series" for her portrayal of Eve Donovan on the soap opera "Days of Our Lives." She has also played numerous supporting roles, including a standout performance as a manic-depressive woman in the film "Birdland," a tormented drug addict in "ER," and the object of Kelsey Grammer's affection in "Frasier."
Aside from her acting career, Ross is a professional singer who studied opera singing for five years. She is also passionate about animals and has collaborated with the Jane Goodall Institute, as well as organizations such as the SPCA and PETA, to protect animal rights. During filming in Puerto Rico, she rescued a homeless dog named Taco, who now keeps her other pets - a red Labrador named Alex and a one-eyed Pekingese named Katie - company.
