Chelsea Handler: A Multifaceted Entertainer
Early Life and FamilyChelsea Handler was born the youngest of six siblings to Seymour Handler, a used car dealer, and Rita Stocker, a homemaker who immigrated to the United States from Germany in 1958. She had four siblings: Shoshana, Sidney, Glen, and Roy. Her oldest brother, Chet, tragically died in a hiking accident at the age of 22.
Television Career
Handler rose to fame with her own late-night talk show, "Chelsea Lately," which aired from 2007 to 2014. In 2012, a scripted comedy series based on her book, "Are You There, Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea," premiered. That same year, she was named one of Time magazine's "100 Most Influential People."
Netflix Ventures
In January 2016, Netflix released a documentary series titled "Chelsea Does," followed by her late-night talk show, "Chelsea," in May 2016.
Bestselling Author
Handler is also the author of the bestselling memoir, "My Horizontal Life," originally published as "Vodka, You're There? It's Me, Chelsea."
Personal Life
