Early Life and CareerCheryl Cole (born 30 June 1983) is an English singer, television personality, dancer, and songwriter. Born in Newcastle, England, she began demonstrating her artistic talents from an early age. At six, she won the "Future Star" competition. As a teenager, she won several beauty pageants, including Miss Newcastle and Miss Selfridge. This led to modeling opportunities, particularly in print advertising.
Musical Beginnings
At age 13, Cole auditioned for a backing vocals role and won. She went on to provide backing vocals for various artists. At 16, she trained at the London School of Ballet, where she excelled. While there, she worked as a waitress to supplement her income.
Popstars: The Rivals and Girls Aloud
