Early Life and Career at Pierrot

Japanese anime director, born September 29th in Chiba Prefecture (exact birthplace unknown). Initially worked at Studio Pierrot as a storyboarder and/or episode director, contributing to several of the studio's anime releases, including "The Twelve Kingdoms," "Gensomaden Saiyuki," and "Midori Days."

Transition to Freelance Directing

Later transitioned to freelance work as a director, primarily collaborating with studios Deen and Pierrot. Her most notable anime (and also her directorial debut) is "Higurashi no Naku Koro ni." Kon directed both television seasons of this series.

Success with "Umineko no Naku Koro ni"

As of July 2009, an anime adaptation of "Umineko no Naku Koro ni," also written by Ryukishi07, aired on Japanese television networks, with Kon serving as director. This work further cemented her status as a renowned anime director.
