Early Career
Anstey developed a passion for basketball relatively late, at the age of 17. Prior to that, he had shown great promise in tennis and was even ranked as the second-best 15-year-old tennis player in Australia. In 1994, Anstey joined the Melbourne Tigers and had the opportunity to play alongside notable Australian basketball players such as Andrew Gaze, Lindsay Gaze, and Lanard Copeland.

NBA Career
In 1997, Anstey transitioned to the NBA after being drafted by the Portland Trail Blazers. However, he was quickly traded to the Dallas Mavericks. He also competed in the 1999 World Championship in Athens.

Coaching Career
In 2010, Anstey retired from playing and began coaching. He took on the role of head coach for Caulfield Grammar School's basketball team, a position he still holds today. Under his leadership, the team achieved significant success, winning the national championship, McDonald's Cup, and APS championship.

In addition to coaching, Anstey is involved in entrepreneurship. He founded the company 'TLC Group', which includes subsidiaries such as 'TLC Mentoring', 'TLC Management', and 'TLC Events'. The company works with athletes, students, and corporate clients.
