Early Career and DebutChristian Ramos, a Peruvian footballer, began his career with Sporting Cristal, where he made his debut in the Peruvian Primera División in 2007. His impressive performance quickly secured him a regular spot in the starting lineup, and he eventually transferred to the renowned Universitario San Martín after the end of his second season.
Universitario San Martín
Ramos's debut for Universitario San Martín came on February 15, 2009, in a match against César Vallejo. He scored his first goal for the club on July 19, 2009, against Alianza Lima. Ramos played a key role in Universitario's championship victory in 2010.
Alianza Lima and Return to Universitario
In early 2011, Ramos joined Alianza Lima, making his debut and scoring his first goal for the club against Unión Comercio on February 13. He spent a year with Alianza Lima before returning to Universitario for another season.
Juan Aurich and Argentinian Adventure
Ramos signed with Juan Aurich in early 2013, scoring his first goal for the club in a match against Sport Huancayo on July 6. He also netted a goal against Bolivian club San José Oruro in the Copa Libertadores. In the summer of 2016, Ramos moved to Argentine club Gimnasia La Plata, making his debut in the Argentine Primera División on August 27.
Ecuadorian and Mexican Experiences
In early 2017, Ramos sought playing time in Ecuador with Emelec, where he debuted in the Ecuadorian Serie A on January 29. He joined Mexican club Veracruz in early 2018, making his debut in the Mexican Primera División on January 29.
International Career
Ramos debuted for the Peruvian national team on November 19, 2009, in a friendly match against Honduras. He participated in the 2011 Copa América, playing in matches against Colombia, Venezuela, and Chile. Peru won the bronze medal in that tournament. Ramos scored his first international goal on August 7, 2014, against Panama. He represented Peru in the 2015 Copa América, securing another bronze medal, and in the 2016 Copa América in the United States.
