Success with Bayer Leverkusen
In 1991, Völler joined Bayer Leverkusen and quickly became a key player for the club. During his time with Leverkusen, he helped the team win the DFB-Pokal in 1993.
Paris Saint-Germain Interlude
After the 1997-98 season, Völler moved to French giants Paris Saint-Germain. He spent one season in Paris before returning to Germany.
