Biography of Christopher Dennis
Christopher Dennis, a British citizen and a devoted fan of Superman, has spent over $100,000 on adding to his highly impressive collection of Superman-related items and shows no signs of stopping. Clark 'Superman' Kent is considered one of the most famous superheroes, although some find him too powerful and therefore incredibly boring. Others recall a terrible curse supposedly associated with the role of Superman, guaranteeing a very sad fate for anyone who decides to play the role. Christopher Dennis has never had the opportunity to play Superman in a movie, although he would have seized the opportunity with all his limbs. However, his excessive fascination with superhero paraphernalia has already caused him some harm. At present, the 45-year-old Christopher has spent $100,000 on adding to his highly impressive collection of Superman-related items and shows no signs of stopping. Even the fact that his wife's enthusiasm for her husband's hobby has waned did not affect Dennis' determination to continue expanding his collection. In fact, their marriage has already fallen apart. Some might argue that Bonnie Finkenthal, 42, should have known from the start that there would be a lot of Superman in her life after marrying Dennis. After all, even the wedding itself was Superman-themed. However, at the time, it seemed like harmless fun since Dennis worked as a double for Christopher Reeve and could afford to "get into character." Finkenthal was not put off by the Superman costume that Dennis wore to their wedding, nor by the giant (4.5-meter) Superman statue under which the ceremony took place. She persisted in believing that her husband's collection was just a regular hobby, an innocuous pastime. Unfortunately, the illusion eventually dissipated, and Finkenthal finally realized what it was like to live with a truly determined collector. She eventually had to admit something extremely sad - Dennis' collection was not just a hobby; in fact, it was closer to being an obsession, while his true love has always been Superman. For the sake of this love, Dennis was willing to sacrifice many things - he could even forego paying utility bills to buy another item for his collection. Finkenthal had to accept that she would never be the number one priority in her husband's heart. Unable to come to terms with this situation, Finkenthal left Dennis. Strangely enough, the departure of his wife did not bring Dennis to his senses. On the contrary, he openly stated that he would rather keep his collection than his wife. Currently, Christopher Dennis earns a living by portraying Superman on Hollywood Boulevard. He rarely has to save the world, but he frequently takes photos with tourists. The money he earns is primarily spent on expanding his collection, which consists of around 15,000 items of various sizes and values, ranging from relatively inexpensive pencils and dishes to a $5,000 statue. He now shares his apartment with his companion, Jack. It seems that Superman as a phenomenon and as a theme for a collection has already become quite tiresome for his new roommate. Jack openly complains that finding things unrelated to Superman in the house, such as regularly disappearing keys, has become impossible. Only time will tell if Superman will eventually force Jack to move out as well. To be fair, Jack has a good chance - as a superhero, he has managed to defeat much more dangerous opponents throughout his career.
