Birth and Origins

Christopher Osakwe was born on May 8, 1942, in Nigeria. His exact origins remain the subject of conflicting accounts, some of which are propagated by the professor himself.

Education and Professional Career

Osakwe holds a doctorate in law. In 1970, he reportedly defended a dissertation on "The International Legal Status of Universal International Organizations" at Lomonosov Moscow State University. He is a professor at several law faculties in Russia, including Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO), Russian State University for the Humanities (RSUH), Moscow State Law University (MSALU), and Moscow Higher School of Social and Economic Sciences (MVSESN).

Alleged Affiliations

Despite claiming to be a professor at Moscow State University (MSU) and Stanford University, these institutions have denied his affiliation. Osakwe has also allegedly presented himself as the director of the Isom-Wainmann Center for Comparative Law at Tulane University, but the center's website does not list him as a staff member.

American Career

According to American sources, Osakwe was indeed a professor at Tulane University until his retirement in the late 1980s. He has presented himself as the managing partner of 'Eurolaw', a law firm with offices in the United States and Russia.

Controversy

In 1995, the Japanese corporation Taisei investigated Osakwe's claims of representing them in Kazakhstan and Russia. They found no evidence of a Eurolaw office at the address he provided, and his alleged Russian partners denied any connection to him.
