Claire Ann Green, better known as Claire Kelly, was an American actress and model. She was born on March 15, 1934, in San Francisco, California, to a wealthy ranch owner. Her mother's maiden name was Daugherty.

Early Life and Career

Kelly attended Miss Hartridge's School in New Jersey before pursuing her dream of becoming an actress at the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York. She honed her acting skills at the theater and prepared herself for a career in the entertainment industry.

Marriages and Personal Life

In 1951, Kelly married the popular talk show host George J. Florentine, also known as George DeWitt. By May 1952, she was expecting their first child. In July 1952, Kelly appeared on the cover of fashion magazines. However, in October 1953, it was reported that she and DeWitt had separated. They later reconciled, and their son George Anthony 'Jay' Florentine was born.

Tragedy struck the family when their three-year-old son Nicholas Christopher passed away in November 1954 due to a rare reaction to pain medication. The couple's relationship deteriorated, and they divorced in 1955. Kelly then began dating Lance Reventlow, the son of Barbara Hutton.

Success and Controversies

In 1959, Kelly was hailed as the "most intriguing discovery in cinema since Rita Hayworth." She was often seen with Perry Lopez, whom she referred to as her "last Latin lover." In April 1959, Kelly filed a complaint against DeWitt, alleging that he had taken custody of their four-year-old son without her consent.

DeWitt retaliated by accusing Kelly of infidelity and scandalous behavior with Frank Sinatra, Perry Lopez, and Nicky Hilton. Kelly refused to comment on the allegations, invoking the Fifth Amendment. Sinatra defended Kelly, calling DeWitt's accusations baseless. However, DeWitt was granted custody of their son in October 1959.

Later Life and Death

Kelly's relationship with Perry Lopez continued, and she received a diamond engagement ring from him. However, they decided to wait a few months before getting married. During this time, Kelly secured a leading role in a Tarzan film, which required her to spend nine weeks in Africa.

On March 27, 1960, Kelly and Lopez married at Little Brown Church in North Hollywood, California. Unfortunately, their marriage ended in divorce shortly after. In October 1961, Kelly married Robert Alan Kenaston, the son of actress Billie Dove and a member of a wealthy banking family. They had a son named Robert Burns Kenaston in July 1962 but divorced in July 1963.

Kelly did not give up on marriage and later married Robert Murphy, a wealthy individual. Claire Kelly passed away at the age of 64 in Palm Springs, California.
