Biography of Clemente Rodriguez
Clemente Rodriguez is an Argentine footballer who plays as a left-back for the club "Colon". He began his career at "Boca Juniors", making his debut on October 18, 2000, in a match against Uruguayan team "Nacional" in the Mercosur Cup, which ended in a 3-3 draw. On December 10, 2000, he made his debut in the Apertura championship of Argentina in a match against "Chacarita Juniors", which his club lost 1-2.

In 2004, Rodriguez became a champion of the Olympic Games in Athens as a part of the Argentine national team. He played a total of 4 games in the year 2000. The following year, he secured a place in the starting lineup, playing 13 matches in the Clausura, 12 in the Apertura, and 10 matches in the Copa Libertadores, which his team won. He also played 3 games in the Mercosur Cup. On April 6 of the same year, he scored his first goal for the club against "Chacarita Juniors". Over the next two seasons, Rodriguez remained a key player for the team, winning another Argentine championship, a second Copa Libertadores, and the Intercontinental Cup, where he played the full 120 minutes against "Milan". In total, he played 148 matches for "Boca Juniors" and scored 6 goals.
In July 2004, negotiations began for Rodriguez's transfer to Moscow's "Spartak". In May, he flew to Moscow and signed a contract with "Spartak" for 4 and a half years. The transfer fee amounted to 4 million euros. From 2004 to 2009, he played for "Spartak Moscow". He spent the beginning of the 2007 season on loan to "Boca Juniors" and the 2007/08 season at Spanish club "Espanyol". In the summer of 2008, he returned to "Spartak". On August 11, 2009, after the end of his contract with the Russian team, Rodriguez moved to Argentine club "Estudiantes". He made his debut for the new team in the second round of the 2009 Apertura in the Clasico against "Gimnasia" (La Plata), which ended in a 3-0 victory for "Estudiantes".
On June 25, 2013, Rodriguez signed a two-year contract with Brazilian club "Sao Paulo".
