Colin Egglesfield is an American actor best known for his roles as Josh Madden in the soap opera "All My Children" and Auggie Kirkpatrick in the short-lived CW drama "Melrose Place."

Early Life and Education

Born in Farmington Hills, Michigan, Egglesfield was raised in Detroit and later moved to Crete, Illinois. As a teenager, he excelled in high school football, which helped boost his self-esteem. Initially aspiring to become a doctor like his father, Egglesfield eventually discovered his passion for acting after following in his sister's footsteps.

After graduating high school, Egglesfield attended pre-med at the University of Iowa, where he later earned a bachelor's degree. He traveled extensively in Europe before facing financial challenges that led him to pursue modeling.

Modeling Career

Egglesfield's modeling career flourished, securing contracts with the Milan agency Beatrice Model and New York's DNA Model Management. He worked for prestigious brands such as Versace, Calvin Klein, and Armani.

Acting Breakthrough
