Crisant Bosch Espín: A Catalonian Football Legend

Early Career and Club Success

Born on December 24, 1907, in Barcelona, Crisant Bosch Espín joined his local team, Jupiter, at a young age. As he progressed through the club's youth ranks, Bosch eventually made his debut in the first team as a left-winger. His exceptional talent caught the attention of Catalan giants Espanyol, where he joined in 1928.

Over the next 15 seasons with Espanyol, Bosch played a pivotal role in the team's success. He helped the club win four Catalan Championships and two Copa del Rey titles. Despite the turmoil of the Spanish Civil War, Bosch remained loyal to Espanyol, becoming one of the few players who did not end their careers during that period.

International Career

Bosch also represented Spain internationally, earning eight caps. He played in one match at the 1934 FIFA World Cup, against Italy.

Coaching Career and Retirement

After retiring from playing, Bosch embarked on a coaching career, briefly leading his former club Espanyol on two occasions. In his later years, he worked as a caretaker at the Sarria Stadium.

Legacy and Death

Crisant Bosch Espín passed away on April 13, 1981, in Ibi, leaving behind a legacy as one of the most talented and dedicated players in Catalonian football history.
