Early Life and Career
Born on March 7, 1997, in Seoul, South Korea, Dami is a talented rapper, songwriter, and dancer. She has an older brother who served in the South Korean military. As a child, Dami sang in her school choir, earning first place in a national choir competition.
Debut with MINX
Dami's official music career began in 2014 as a member of the girl group MINX. Their debut single, "Why Did You Come To My Home?," was released on September 18, 2014. However, in 2016, Happyface Entertainment announced the disbandment of MINX and the debut of a new group, Dreamcatcher.
Debut with Dreamcatcher
On January 13, 2017, Dami made her debut as part of Dreamcatcher with the single "Nightmare." She serves as the group's lead rapper, main dancer, and vocalist.
MIXNINE and Other Activities
In October 2017, Dami participated in the survival show MIXNINE alongside other Dreamcatcher members. However, due to scheduling conflicts, the group withdrew from the show in December. Despite this, Dami continues to contribute her talent and passion to Dreamcatcher's performances and music recordings.
