Early Career and Club Success

Daniel Cousin was born in Gabon and holds dual French citizenship. His footballing journey began in the lower tiers of French football, before he joined Le Mans in 2000. As a prolific striker, he netted 44 goals in 129 appearances, attracting the attention of Lens.

Move to Lens and Breakthrough

In 2004, Cousin made the move to Lens, where he continued his goalscoring exploits. Over three seasons, he bagged 35 goals for the Red and Yellows, establishing himself as a respected forward.
