Biography of Daniel Diaz
Daniel Diaz is an Argentine footballer who currently plays as a right-back for the club "Getafe". He was born in San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca, a province in Argentina, which earned him the nickname "Kata". Diaz began his football career in the youth team of "Juventud de Catamarca" and in 1997, at a young age, he joined "Rosario Central", where he started his professional career after three years.
In 2003-04, Diaz played for the Mexican club "Cruz Azul", but soon returned to "Colon", the club led by Alfio Basile. At "Colon", Diaz quickly became the team captain and when Basile took charge of "Boca Juniors", Diaz also moved to the Argentine giants (the deal was worth 3 million dollars), despite competition from "River Plate".
After a brilliant campaign in the Copa Libertadores with "Boca Juniors", as well as his performances in the Copa America as part of the Argentine national team in 2007, Diaz moved to the Spanish club "Getafe", who paid "Boca Juniors" 4 million euros for his transfer.
