Elvin Aliyev: A Promising Football Player from Azerbaijan

Elvin Aliyev, full name Elvin Fizuli oglu Aliyev, is regarded as one of the most promising football players from Azerbaijan. He was born on August 21, 1984, in the city of Baku. Aliyev began his professional football career at the age of 15, playing for the 1st League team, Neftgaz. Currently, he is a player for the football club Olympic Baku and the Azerbaijan national football team. He has also represented the Olympic national team of Azerbaijan (under 21) and the youth national team (under 19).

Club Career

In 1997, Aliyev was accepted into the youth football team Neftgaz Baku. He started his professional club career in 1999, playing for the main squad of Neftgaz, which competed in the 1st League of the Azerbaijan Championship. He then played for various clubs in Baku such as Neftchi, Karat, SKA, Olympic, and MKT-Araz (Imishli).

Azerbaijan National Team

In June 2007, Aliyev was called up to the Azerbaijan national team. He made his debut against the Polish team on June 2, 2007, in the qualifying matches for the UEFA European Championship.

Elvin Aliyev was born on August 21, 1984, in Baku. He is originally from the city of Sabirabad. Aliyev is unmarried and received his secondary education at School No. 7 in the Sabail district of Baku. He graduated from the Academy of Physical Education. During his military service, he was called up while playing for Neftchi Baku.

He comes from a family of eight members, including his father, mother, three brothers, and three sisters. Elvin is the eldest among his siblings. His father, Fizuli Aliyev, is the director of one of the football stadiums in Baku. His younger brother, Elgun Aliyev, plays for the youth football team Neftchi Baku.
