Dan Gosling is an English footballer who currently plays as a midfielder for Premier League club Bournemouth. He was previously with Everton from 2008 to 2010 and Newcastle United from 2010 to 2014.

Knee Injury and Contract Dispute

During a match against Wolverhampton Wanderers on March 31, 2009, Gosling suffered a serious knee injury in a collision with goalkeeper Marcus Hahnemann. The injury ruled him out for nine months and subsequently led to a contract dispute with Everton.

In July 2010, it was ruled that Everton had failed to offer Gosling a new contract in a timely manner, making him a free agent. Gosling subsequently left Everton and joined Newcastle United on a four-year contract.

Newcastle United Tenure

At Newcastle United, Gosling took on the number 15 shirt. After recovering from his knee injury, he made his debut for the club's reserve team under the management of Peter Beardsley in November 2010.
