Early Life and Career in Brazil
Daniel Gibelli was born in Brazil and began his football career with local clubs. He honed his skills in mini-football, a variation of soccer played on a smaller field with fewer players.
Move to Spain and Success with Caja Segovia
In 2001, Daniel made the move to Spain, joining the club Caja Segovia. With Caja Segovia, he achieved significant success, winning the European Champions Tournament, Intercontinental Cup, Spanish Championship, and three Spanish Cups and Super Cups.
Continued Achievements with Inter Movistar
In 2003, Daniel moved to Inter Movistar (formerly known as Boomerang Interviú and Interviú Fadesa). Here, he expanded his list of accomplishments, adding four more Spanish Championships, four National Cups, five Super Cups, four Intercontinental Cups, and the UEFA Futsal Cup Winners' Cup. Notably, he scored in the final of each of the three UEFA Futsal Cups he won.
Spanish National Team Success
After becoming a naturalized Spanish citizen, Daniel represented the Spanish national mini-football team. He was part of the team that won the 2000 FIFA Futsal World Cup, the 2008 FIFA Futsal World Cup silver medal, and four UEFA Futsal Championships.
