Early Life and Career

Born in Azerbaijan, Nazim Suleymanov kicked off his professional football career in 1996 with the Azerbaijani U-18 national team. He went on to represent CSKA Baku for two seasons before joining Neftchi Baku in 1999.

National and International Success

Suleymanov's standout performance in 2002 earned him the title of "Best Footballer of Azerbaijan" by the newspaper "Futbol +." His success abroad included stints with Ukrainian club Volyn Lutsk and Russian team Uralan Elista. He returned to Azerbaijan in 2004 and played for Khazar Lankaran before joining Inter Baku.

Later Career and Coaching

Suleymanov's later years saw him return to Neftchi Baku and play for Simurq before joining Turan in 2011. Financial issues forced him to leave the club just six months later. He retired from playing in 2012 and took up coaching with Neftchi Baku's reserve team.

International Career

Suleymanov debuted for the Azerbaijani national team in 1997 and played for 10 years, scoring 2 goals in 31 appearances.
