Daniel Johns was born on April 22, 1979, in Australia. He is the frontman of the alternative band "Silverchair". Daniel was born and raised in Newcastle. In his youth, he was interested in nonconformist music and experimented with various musical styles before settling on grunge and rock.

Early Musical Career

Daniel began his musical journey at the age of 8 and formed his first band, "Innocent Criminals", at the age of 12. He took on the role of vocalist and guitarist in the band. Daniel and his friends gained significant interest from many established musicians and participated in several Australian music competitions.

Rise to Fame

In 1994, the record label "Murmur Records" offered Daniel the opportunity to record a few songs on professional equipment. This resulted in the creation of the popular composition "Tomorrow", which gained popularity in Australia. Following their debut in the professional music scene, the band "Innocent Criminals" decided to change their name to "Silverchair".
