Early Life and Education
Dariya Zhusip was born on August 9, 1972, in Almaty, Kazakhstan. She graduated from high school in the southern city of Kentau before pursuing her passion for theater and performing arts. From 1989 to 1993, she studied at the T. Zhurgenov State Institute of Theater and Cinema, where she excelled academically and earned a red diploma upon graduation.
Theater Career
Zhusip was immediately accepted into the prestigious M. O. Auezov Kazakh State Academic Drama Theater in 1993. Her versatile talent and commitment to her craft made her a prominent figure within the theater scene. In 1998, she furthered her education by graduating from the Abylaikhan Institute of International Relations and World Languages with a degree in English.
Musical Pursuits
Beyond theater, Zhusip also pursued her passion for music. She studied classical singing at the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory, graduating with honors in 2008. Her vocal prowess was showcased in productions such as the musical "Arshin Mal Alan" and the tragedy "Abai." She also performed the lead role of Zhibek in the modern opera "Kyz Zhibek" in 2005.
Teaching and Directing
Since 2008, Zhusip has shared her knowledge and expertise as an acting instructor at the T. Zhurgenov Academy of Arts. In 2012, she directed a production of "Hamlet" in Moscow with her students, demonstrating her versatility and international reach.
Awards and Recognition
Zhusip's dedication and talent have been recognized through numerous awards. In 1994, she was awarded the Youth Union of Kazakhstan Prize. In 2009, she received the prestigious title of "Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan" for her contributions to Kazakh theater and cinema. She has also been awarded the First President's Foundation Prize (2010) and the "25 Years of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan" Medal (2016).

Dariya Zhusip is married to Tungyshbai Zhumanqulov, a renowned actor and professor who has also achieved great success in Kazakh theater and cinema.
