Biography of Divya Bharti
Divya Om Prakash Bharti was born on February 25, 1974, in Mumbai, India. She started her professional career in 1990 with the Telugu drama film 'Bobbili Raja' alongside Brahmanandam. After several successful films, Bharti received an invitation to star in the Hindi film 'Vishwatma' in 1992, where her song 'Saat Samundar Paar' brought her immense fame. She appeared in more than 14 Hindi films in 1992-1993, breaking the world record for a newcomer.

Bharti married Sajid Nadiadwala in May 1992. However, her career as a Bollywood diva was tragically cut short by her untimely death in April 1993 at the age of 19. The investigation into her death was closed in 1998, and the true cause of her death remains a mystery.

Early Life and Career
Divya Bharti studied till the 9th grade when she was offered a role in a film. She had a resemblance to the popular superstar Sridevi, which caught the attention of many directors and producers. After some hesitation from her parents, she signed her first film 'Gunahon Ka Devta' in 1988 at the age of 14. She also signed contracts for two films, 'Aatank Hi Aatank' and 'Rudra Avtaar', both starring Aamir Khan. Despite her talent and looks, Bharti struggled to get signed for major projects due to her reputation for being difficult to work with.

However, her luck changed when producer Daggubati Ramanaidu offered her a role in the Telugu film 'Bobbili Raja'. This film became a huge success, reviving Bharti's career. Despite facing setbacks and going through a period of depression, she returned to Mumbai and was approached by the producer of 'Bobbili Raja' for another film.

Rise to Fame
In November 1991, Bharti approached Rajiv Rai with her portfolio and signed a contract for the film 'Vishwatma'. The release of this film and her performance in the song 'Saat Samundar Paar' led to numerous offers flooding in for the actress. She signed contracts for 14 films and became a highly sought-after actress in Bollywood.
Her film 'Dil Ka Kya Kasoor' did not perform well at the box office, but her performance was praised by critics. Bharti remained optimistic and said, "I wanted to show myself. But I fell flat on my face. Now I can start my climb again. I am sure that someday success will be mine." Her optimism paid off when her film 'Shola Aur Shabnam' became a blockbuster hit, leading to more successful films and establishing her as a top-tier actress.
Tragic Death and Legacy
On April 5, 1993, Bharti fell from the 5th floor of her husband's house in Versova, a prestigious area in Mumbai. Speculation about her death ranged from suicide to accident to murder. The investigation into her death was closed in 1998 without a definitive conclusion.
Her last two films, 'Rang' and 'Shatranj', were released a few months after her death and were dedicated to her memory. Divya Bharti's untimely death at a young age left a void in the film industry, and she is remembered as a talented and promising actress.
