He made his television debut on the "ABC Saturday Morning Special" and was a member of Jim Henson's multicultural youth performing group "CityKids." Mihok had small roles in the dramas "New York Undercover" and "Law & Order" before landing his breakout role in the gripping war drama "The Thin Red Line" (1998).
