Dave DeRoo, the esteemed bassist for the hard rock/nu-metal band Adema, has a rich musical history that traces back to his hometown of Bakersfield, California. Born and raised in the city, Dave's youthful immersion in music was heavily influenced by his father, Doug DeRoo, a respected local radio DJ.
Early Collaborations and the Birth of Juice
Dave's musical journey began with the band Sexart, a notable project that featured Korn vocalist Jonathan Davis, Tye Ellam, and Ryan Shuck of Orgy. After Davis' departure to form Korn and Shuck's transition to Orgy, DeRoo and the remaining members of Sexart forged a new path as Juice. It was during this time that Dave crossed paths with his future Adema bandmate, Tim Fluckey.
Joining Adema and the Rise to Stardom
DeRoo and Fluckey later departed from Juice to join forces with Mark Chavez and form Adema. Together, they crafted a unique blend of hard rock and nu-metal that resonated with a global audience. Adema's debut album, "Adema," catapulted the band to mainstream success, establishing them as a formidable force in the genre.
