David Duffield, an American billionaire and entrepreneur, is a renowned figure in the software development industry. Born in the United States in 1941, Duffield is a highly skilled professional. He graduated from Cornell University, initially earning an honorary bachelor's degree in science and arts, and later obtaining an MBA.
Establishing PeopleSoft
In 1987, Duffield founded the company PeopleSoft and became its president and chairman. His main goal was to transform the company into one of the best, delivering constructive, efficient, innovative, and intelligent solutions. Duffield succeeded in achieving this, as well as creating a unique corporate culture based on core values. Since its inception, PeopleSoft has achieved significant milestones, becoming the second-largest provider of high-quality software to numerous customers. In 2005, David Duffield sold PeopleSoft to the global organization Oracle.

Prior to founding PeopleSoft, Duffield established several other companies involved in software development. He served as the chairman, president, and chief developer at Integral Systems. He later co-founded Information Associates.
