Early Life and Career

Despite her young age, Debbie can consider herself an experienced actress with a decent career. She started performing in professional theater at the age of 7 and discovered her love for live performances and stage presence. At the same time, she sang in church and participated in several talent contests.

Debbie's father was in the military and served in Europe, resulting in the family frequently moving. They spent a considerable amount of time in Germany, which allowed Debbie to become fluent in both English and German. When she was 10 years old, the family returned to the United States, settling in Texas. Even at a young age, Debbie dreamed of becoming a professional actress, although she was often teased in school for being a "nerd". She was the mascot for the school's sports team and a member of the chess club.

Rise to Fame

Debbie's older brother, Chase Ryan, is a musician, singer, and guitarist. Following in her brother's footsteps, she also became involved in music and singing. She considers Chase one of her role models, along with Meryl Streep, Brenda Song (her co-star in the sitcom "The Suite Life on Deck"), Tobey Maguire, Anne Hathaway, and Rachel McAdams.

In 2006, Debbie made her television debut in the children's program "Barney & Friends". The following year, she appeared in the film "Barney: Let's Go to the Firehouse", which was released directly on DVD. It was during this time that representatives from the Walt Disney studio noticed her talent.

In 2008, Debbie landed the role of Bailey Pickett in "The Suite Life on Deck" and also appeared in the series "Hannah Montana" and "Disney 365". In 2010, she starred in the lead role in the film "16 Wishes", which targeted a slightly older audience compared to her usual viewership from "The Suite Life on Deck". The movie, which aired on cable television, received excellent ratings. She also appeared in the independent film "What If...".

There are rumors that filming for the feature film "Two for the Road", which focuses on the grown-up characters from "The Suite Life on Deck", will begin in 2011, with Debbie reprising her role as Bailey.
