Ukrainian Footballer Denys Kozhanov

Denys Kozhanov is a Ukrainian footballer who plays as a midfielder for FC Mariupol. He began his youth career in Mariupol, playing for DYUSSH-3 and Illychivets. In 2005, he joined Shakhtar Donetsk.

Rise Through the Ranks

While at Shakhtar, Kozhanov primarily played for the youth teams, including Shakhtar-3, Shakhtar-2, and the reserve squad. His only appearance for the first team came on June 17, 2007, against Metalurh Zaporizhzhya.

Loan to Karpaty Lviv

In 2008, after Валерий Ярёмченко took over as manager of Karpaty Lviv, he brought Kozhanov in on loan along with Igor Oshchipko. He made his debut for Karpaty on March 1, 2008, against Kharkiv.

Contract Extension and Transfer

Following the departure of Vasyl Kobin to Shakhtar Donetsk, Kozhanov's loan at Karpaty was extended for two years with an option to buy. In July 2011, he signed a one-year contract with Illychivets.

Kozhanov is married to Olga and they have a daughter, Karina, born in 2011.
