Biography of Neymar

Early Life and Career

Neymar, a Brazilian footballer, was born on February 5, 1992 in Mogi das Cruzes, São Paulo, Brazil. He was named after his father, who was a former footballer and became his first coach and advisor when his talent started to show. Shortly after his birth, Neymar's parents moved to São Vicente, and in 2003, the family settled in Santos, where Neymar began training with the youth team of the local football club.

Thanks to his success in his youth career and the fact that Neymar started earning good money, his family was able to buy their first home. When he turned 14, Neymar went to Spain to study at the Real Madrid academy, but Santos did everything to bring the young football talent back home. By the age of 15, Neymar was earning 10,000 reals per month, and within a year, he was earning 25,000 reals. At 17, he signed his first professional contract with Santos, which was followed by much more significant multimillion-dollar deals. In 2012, Neymar was ranked 7th on France Football's list of the richest footballers in the world.

Career Achievements

Neymar is considered one of the most promising young footballers in the world. In 2011, at the age of 19, he was awarded the prestigious title of "South American Footballer of the Year" after finishing 3rd in the poll the previous year. He was also nominated for the FIFA Ballon d'Or in 2011, but ranked 10th in the voting. However, Neymar unquestionably won the FIFA Puskas Award for the "most beautiful goal". Known for his dribbling skills, speed, and ability to play intelligent football, Neymar's playing style has earned him recognition from experts, and fans, the press, and old-school players compare him to Argentine forward Lionel Messi and legendary Brazilian footballer Pelé. Pelé, by the way, considers Neymar an outstanding footballer.

Neymar began his career with Santos, joining their youth team in 2003. Gradually honing his skills, he made his debut for the club's senior team in 2009 and was named "Best Young Player of the Season". This marked the beginning of Neymar's streak of awards. He was named the "Best Player" of the following season when Santos became the champion of the national championship (and repeated their success in 2011 and 2012 with Neymar's help), and he was recognized as the "top scorer of the 2010 Copa do Brasil", scoring 11 goals. Neymar finished the 2010 season with 42 goals in 60 games, while Santos won both the national championship and the Copa do Brasil, achieving a "golden double".

In 2011, Neymar was once again named the "Best Player of the Year" as his team retained the championship title. Santos also won the 2011 Copa Libertadores, in which Neymar scored 6 goals in 13 matches. He also helped his team secure the continental "golden double", the first for Santos since 1963. Neymar received the "Bronze Ball" at the 2011 FIFA Club World Cup when Santos reached the final but suffered a 4-0 defeat to Barcelona. On the international level, Neymar represents the Brazilian national team. He has represented Brazil in competitions for under-17 and under-20 teams and at the senior level.

On August 10, 2010, 18-year-old Neymar made his debut for the Brazilian national team in a friendly match against the United States and scored a goal in the 28th minute, helping his team win 2-0. Neymar became the "top scorer" of the 2011 South American Youth Championship, scoring 9 goals, including 2 goals in the final where Brazil defeated Uruguay 6-0 and won their 11th championship title in the tournament.
