Biography of Denis Sitnik
Denis Sitnik is a Ukrainian football player, born on [insert date]. He has played as a forward and midfielder throughout his career.
Early Career
In his youth, Sitnik played for the Kiev-based DYuSSh-15 and "Lokomotiv-MSM-OMIKS" teams in the Ukrainian Youth Football League. He also represented "Spartak-MAST" from Brovary. In the summer of 2007, he joined the Luhansk-based team "Kommunalnyk".
Professional Career
In the 2007/08 season, Sitnik played 13 matches and scored 1 goal for "Kommunalnyk" in the Second League of Ukraine. The team won the league and gained promotion to the First League. In 2008, Sitnik scored 2 goals in 2 matches for "Svitanok" in the amateur Ukrainian Cup. In the winter of 2009, he moved to "Gornyak-Sport" in Komsomolsk at the invitation of Yuriy Malyhin. Sitnik made 16 appearances and scored 1 goal in the Second League. He also played 2 matches in the Ukrainian League Cup, reaching the final but losing to "Niva" from Vinnytsia (4-0).
Move to Iceland
In the winter of 2010, Sitnik received an offer to continue his career in Iceland and joined the club "Vestmannaeyjar". He made his debut in the Icelandic league on May 11, 2010, in an away match against "Fram" (2-0), playing the full 90 minutes.
Later Career
In early 2014, Sitnik transferred to Armenian club "Titan", which competed in the First League of Ukraine. He played 7 matches for the team. After the season, "Titan" ceased to exist due to the annexation of Crimea by Russia. In late summer 2014, Sitnik moved to Maltese club "Marsaskala" and signed a contract until April 2015. In January 2016, he joined Maltese second division club "Senglea Athletic".
Achievements
Sitnik won the Second League of Ukraine in the 2007/08 season. He was also a finalist in the Ukrainian League Cup in 2009/10. In addition, he achieved a bronze medal in the Icelandic championship in 2010.
