Biography of Denis Washington
Denis Washington was born in 1934 in the small American town of Spokane, Montana. After finishing high school, he worked for a construction firm in Alaska. At the age of thirty, he embarked on his business career.
Washington Construction
In 1964, Washington secured a loan of $30,000 and used the money to purchase necessary equipment. He founded the construction company "Washington Construction". Initially, the firm focused on road construction, but by 1969, it had become one of the largest contractors in the state of Montana.
Diversification and Success
In the 1970s, Washington Construction diversified its operations, specializing in dam construction and the development of mineral deposits. In 1986, Washington acquired a mine in Butte, where he conducted copper and molybdenum mining, which proved to be highly profitable. He also expanded his business interests into areas such as railroads, maritime transportation, suburban transportation, aviation, and real estate.
