Biography of Diamond Dallas Page
Diamond Dallas Page is an American wrestler who began his career in March 1988. He started out as a manager for the team "Badd Company" consisting of Paul Diamond and Pat Tanaka. On March 19, his team won the tag team championships. During this time, Page also managed Medusa and the team of Cole DeBeers.

After working for AWA, Page became a commentator for Florida Championship Wrestling. While working as a commentator for WWE, he was offered a role as an announcer but did not pass the audition. After FCW closed down, Page returned to his job at a nightclub. However, in 1991, Dusty Rhodes became a booker for WCW and invited Page to join. In WCW, Diamond Dallas Page became the manager of the Fabulous Freebirds. With his help, they won the NWA tag team championships.
Page also worked in nightclubs and tried his hand at managing in the American Wrestling Association. In March 1988, he started working there as a manager for the team "Badd Company" (Paul Diamond and Pat Tanaka). On March 19, his team won the tag team championships. During this time, Page also managed Medusa and the team of Cole DeBeers.
Page's first match in WCW was a tag team match alongside Diamond Studd against Kevin Sullivan and his partner (whose name is unknown). After the match, Page received positive reviews from other wrestlers and announcers, but he was still pushed into the jobber role.
Page formed a stable called the Diamond Mine Stable, which included himself, Diamond Studd, Vinnie Vegas (Kevin Nash), and Scotty Flamingo (also known as Raven). On November 18, 1992, Page helped Scotty Flamingo defeat Johnny B. Badd in a boxing match at Clash of the Champions XXI by pouring water into his glove between rounds.
In the late 1992, Page suffered an injury in a tag team match with Tex Slazenger against the team of Shanghai Pierce. While Page was recovering, Jake Roberts taught him the psychology of wrestling. WCW did not release Page while he was injured.
In early 1994, Page returned to wrestling but was mainly used to put over other wrestlers. He was given a bodyguard named Max Muscle and a girlfriend named Diamond Doll (Kimberly). Page started challenging all wrestlers to arm wrestling contests, with the winner getting time to spend with Kimberly. Page defeated several jobbers but ultimately lost to David Sullivan at the Great American Bash, where David was supposed to win time with Kimberly but was attacked by Page and his bodyguard.
Page's feud with Eddie Guerrero continued until the end of 1996. At Halloween Havoc, Page defeated Guerrero. During this time, the nWo emerged in WCW and they tried to recruit Page, as his old friends Nash and Hall were members. However, Page refused and even attacked Hall with his crown. This led to Page losing in the final of the tournament for the vacant WCW United States Championship due to interference from Hall.
Page later helped Eddie Guerrero defeat Scott Norton on January 22 at Clash of the Champions XXXIV. He then lost to Norton by count-out at Souled Out.
Page's feud with Randy Savage escalated, and they faced off in a Las Vegas Sudden Death match at Halloween Havoc. Page lost the match after interference from a fake Sting (who was revealed to be Hulk Hogan). The following night on Nitro, Page defeated Hogan in a match for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship by disqualification after interference from the nWo.
Page later defeated Kurt Henning for the WCW United States Championship but had the title taken away due to unknown reasons. He then feuded with Chris Benoit and won the WCW United States Championship again.
Page later joined forces with Karl Malone to take on Hogan and Dennis Rodman. They were unsuccessful in their match but Page managed to get some revenge by hitting Eric Bischoff with his crown.
Page continued to compete in WCW and had various feuds and matches, including with Bret Hart and Hulk Hogan. He later challenged Hogan for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship but was unsuccessful.
Page's career in WCW continued until its closure in 2001. He went on to have a successful career in WWE and is now known for his DDP Yoga program.
